OPPO F33 & F33 Pro 5G Launch in India: Big Selfies, Bigger Battery, and Serious Durability

OPPO just pulled the wraps off its latest F-series phones in India, and this time, they’re going all in on three things: selfies that actually impress, battery life that lasts for days, and build quality that doesn’t flinch at dust, water, or even pressure jets.

Meet the OPPO F33 5G and F33 Pro 5G—two new mid-range contenders that pack a 50MP ultra-wide front camera, AI editing tools, a massive 7,000mAh battery, and some seriously tough durability ratings. Let’s break down what you’re getting.

Selfies Take Center Stage (Literally)

If you take a lot of group selfies or love shooting in tricky light, the F33 series has your back—well, your front camera.

Both phones feature a 50MP ultra-wide front camera with a 100° field of view, so you can fit more people in the frame without the weird edge distortion. The Pro model goes a step further: it automatically switches to 0.6x zoom when it detects multiple faces. No more awkward arm stretches or asking someone to hold the phone.

Low-light selfies? There’s a multicolored front fill light, plus autofocus and electronic image stabilization. OPPO clearly didn’t treat the front camera as an afterthought.

Around the back, you get a 50MP main camera paired with a depth sensor for portrait shots. And the software side brings a bunch of AI tools—object removal, scene enhancement, portrait lighting, and more.

We’re currently testing all of these claims, so stay tuned for our full review coming soon.

Fresh Design, Smooth Display, and Real-World Performance

The F33 Pro 5G introduces a new Starry Sea Lens camera module, which gives the phone a more polished, premium look. Both models share a unibody design with a mix of glossy and matte finishes.

Up front, there’s a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate—scrolling, gaming, and even just switching between apps feels noticeably smoother.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX processor does the heavy lifting, paired with up to 12GB of RAM. That’s plenty for daily tasks, casual gaming, and multitasking.

Built Like a Tank (Seriously)

Here’s where things get interesting. The OPPO F33 series comes with IP69K, IP68, and IP66 ratings. That means dust protection, water immersion resistance, and even protection against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. Yes, jets.

OPPO also added a 360-degree armor body with aerospace-grade materials and shock-absorbing internals, plus military-grade certifications for harsh conditions. So if you’re clumsy, work outdoors, or just want peace of mind, this phone is built to last.

Software, Connectivity, and That Enormous Battery

The phones run ColorOS 16, which brings AI features like document scanning, writing assistance, and system-wide optimizations. There’s also built-in Google Gemini for smarter assistance across apps.

On the connectivity front, OPPO is positioning the F33 series as India’s first Jio-certified 5G++ smartphone—so if you’re on Jio, you’re likely getting the best possible 5G experience.

And the battery? A 7,000mAh unit with 80W fast charging. OPPO claims a full charge takes about 69 minutes. For context, that’s enough juice to easily get you through two full days of normal use—or one very heavy day without anxiety.
