The vivo V70 series just landed, and honestly? I’ve been testing the V70 for the past month—it’s a solid device. But vivo isn’t stopping there. There’s already chatter about a third member of the family: the vivo V70 FE.
Leaks started surfacing a few days ago, with one tipster dropping the full spec sheet and suggesting a global launch as early as this month. I hate to burst that bubble, but unless something changes overnight, the V70 FE isn’t coming in February—at least not in India. If it were, I’d probably already have one in hand. Realistically, we’re looking at a launch toward the end of March.
What to Expect From the vivo V70 FE
Let’s start with the usual caveat: none of this is officially confirmed by vivo, so keep a healthy dose of skepticism handy.
If the rumors hold up, the V70 FE will arrive in three color options: Muse Purple, Ocean Blue, and Titanium Silver. The display is said to be a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a buttery 120Hz refresh rate. Design-wise, it’ll borrow the flat-edged look of the V70 but mix things up with a vertical camera bump that leans more toward Samsung’s recent aesthetic.
Speaking of cameras, the setup is surprisingly bold for an FE model. We’re looking at a dual-camera system anchored by a 200MP main sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens. That main camera alone is enough to turn heads in this segment.
Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo is expected to handle performance—it scores around the 1 million mark on AnTuTu, so it should hold its own for everyday use and then some. Storage options will likely include 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 8GB+512GB variants. Software duties fall to OriginOS 6 on top of Android 16. There’s even a rumor floating around about six years of Android updates, but honestly, that feels like a stretch—vivo’s flagships don’t even go that far.
Now for the part that makes you pause: a 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast wired charging. That kind of capacity is rare, and if it’s real, it’ll be a massive selling point. Durability also looks promising, with both IP68 and IP69 ratings reportedly on the table.
Why This Matters Right Now
Phone prices have been climbing across the board, and a device like the V70 FE feels perfectly timed. If vivo lands this in the ₹30,000 range, it could become a serious contender—especially with that 200MP camera and the new design language.
There’s no official word on an India launch yet, but I’d be genuinely surprised if it doesn’t land here next month. So if you’re in the market for a new phone, it might be worth holding off just a little longer. This one looks like it could be worth the wait.
